2020 Vision Of Malaysian Aquaculture
Aquaculture sector will become the

upgrading the aquaculture management. Aquaculture development c an be seen by the formation of commercial viable big
aquaculture estates so as to obtain maximum return as well as economics of
scale. Freshwater
aquaculture sector will be fully developed and expected to contribute significantly
to increase production as a whole. Land, lakes, embankments, ponds, ex-mining pools as
well as rivers which are
suitable will be fully utilized for the production of marine fish and prawn as well as crabs and cockles.
A new dimension will appear with the introduction of the brackish water/marine culture
system which is economically viable in sheltered area like open sea cage culture system.
