Production of crab-lets of Blue Swimming Crab with STAC’s Green House HDPE Liner Pond Mesocosm System

A healthy Blue Swimming Crab female spawned with fertilized eggs was selected and put into the Green House-Mesocosm system. After about 13 days of incubation, the fertilized hatched out into Zoa 1. The Zoa metamorphosed several stages such as Zoa 2, Zoa 3, Zoa 4 and then Zoa 5 until it metamorphosed into Megalop on the 15 days. The Megalops molt and turn into Crab-lets. During the stages of Zoa to Megalops, rotifers, micro-capsulated feed and Artemia were given 4 time per day until crab-lets were metamorphosed.
